Product Description
Henna Lips is a two-tipped lipstick/liner made of all-natural ingredients. It delivers strong, semi-permanent lip color that lasts all day.
Henna Lips contains a unique patented formula of henna extract, water, hydrolyzed wheat protein and natural coloring. A fresh peppermint fragrance helps lips feel cool and refreshed.
Henna Lips is manufactured according to strict environmental and sustainable methods.
- No preservatives
- No artificial additives or colors
- Not tested on animals
- Does not contain PPD
Henna Lips does not contain wax, so there is no waxy build-up or stickiness. If — like many women — you often wear lipstick, it means you have ingested a lot of wax over the years. As a result, many natural cosmetics companies are now introducing wax-free products.
How Does It Work?
- In the same way that henna tattoos stain or dye the skin, Henna Lips stains the lips, so it feels like you are wearing nothing at all.
- With Henna Lips, you can eat most foods, drink, and kiss without fear of smearing or leaving lipstick stains on glasses and coffee cups. Ah, the good life!
- For women who like the feel and look of a creme lipstick as opposed to a lip stain, the good news is that unlike all other "long-lasting" lipsticks on the market, you can add your favorite colorless lip balm over Henna Lips and it will not affect the product's wearability. You can even wear your favorite lipstick over Henna Lips! When your lipstick wears off, your lips will still be stained underneath. Goodbye blah, colorless lips!

Tips for Best Results with Henna Lips
Based on personal use by Carine Fabius, owner of Earth Henna
- Start with clean, dry lips free of any other products (you may even want to use an exfoliating product first).
- When applying product, stretch lips to make sure natural lip grooves are filled in and saturated.
- Wait 20-30 minutes for Henna Lips stain to set—try not to lick your lips, drink or eat during this period.
- You will feel a tingling at first—this is normal and is a result of the peppermint extract in the product.
- The first time you lick your lips, you may find the taste to be slightly bitter, but that quickly goes away.
- As with henna tattoos, the Henna Lips stain wears off as the lips exfoliate (usually within a 12-hour cycle). This process is different for every individual. I found that it is best to wait until all the color has come off the lips before applying another coat or another shade of Henna Lips. A new coat on top of not-fully-exfoliated lips won't adhere to the lips as well, and may feel drying. For some people, this may mean wearing Henna Lips every other day as opposed to every day.
- Please note that with certain oily foods, Henna Lips may break down and cause some fading of the color strength. Nonetheless, your lips will still retain some color. If you like, you can re-apply a light coat to replenish.
- If Henna Lips feels drying at first, that's because the sensation most women are familiar with is of products that lay on top of the lips. Henna Lips stains the lips so the feeling of wearing nothing at all may feel strange at first. But give it a chance. Wear it a few times to get used to that bare feeling. You'll love it! But if you prefer, just add a colorless, preferably natural lip balm over your Henna Lips and that will take care of the issue.
- The delivery system for Henna Lips looks and feels like you are applying a magic marker to your lips, but don't worry. This is no magic marker, even though it does color the lips like magic!
